The Baobab Tree was born from a meeting of two cultures — Simon, from the UK, and Inger Tweedie, from Zimbabwe. Together, they wanted to create something that celebrates the best of both worlds: a fusion of British, European and African flavours, brought together with a shared love of good food.
The menu reflects this blend — comforting, familiar dishes with the occasional African twist. You’ll still find all the café classics: great coffee, proper cups of tea, delicious cakes, and a relaxed brunch or lunch – but every now and then, something a little different.
